Joining you will be a local guide with a university-level understanding of the mountain who knew the early hiking pioneers and can tell their stories. Then it’s time to drive to the summit. On arrival at the mountain top, there is a 35-minute walk and scramble onto the trig point, an easy stroll to lookouts for amazing views of much of Tasmania. Also, have a close up look at the unique alpine vegetation and geology. Then more remarkable views on the 35-minute drive back to Hobart.
