The Alabama rooms have remained in their original layout since the hotel was opened in the 1850s. While this means there are no ensuite bathrooms, there are a number of male and female showers and facilities on each floor. The Alabama is about as central as you can get in Hobart, just a couple of doors down from the Elizabeth Street Mall.
