Brickendon Estate, a UNESCO World Heritage Site offers visitors a delightful collection of self-contained Historic and Farm Cottages. The Coachman's, Gardener's and Old Farm Historic Cottages are surrounded by gardens and offer traditional colonial accommodation with open fires combined with modern facilities. Each cottage has its own character with options including deep baths, separate showers and bathroom floor heating. Pumpkin, Sweetcorn, and Pea in a Pod Farm Cottages enjoy the magnificent views of the English-style countryside and were built from recycled materials. Wood heaters keep our Farm Cottages toasty warm overnight. Electric heating and electric blankets are also provided for guest comfort in all cottages. Hearty continental breakfast provisions are included in the tariff of each cottage and our cottages are fully self-contained with all linen and cooking facilities provided. When you stay with Brickendon Estate you can : Wander the gardens surrounding the Georgian Homestead, Take the 'Convict Walk' to Woolmers Estate, Enjoy animal feeding our friendly farm animals at 10.15am daily, Explore the 1820s convict-built farm buildings Brickendon is 20 minutes from Launceston and 15 minutes from the Launceston Airport. We are pet friendly, but please enquire as to which cottages are suitable for pets before making a reservation.

Coachmans Cottage

Coachmans Cottage is a very quaint three bedroom cottage with queen and twin bedrooms on the second floor and double on ground floor. Colonial antique furnishings throughout. Bathroom is on ground floor with old fashioned bath, separate shower, under floor heating, washer and dryer. Sitting room has an open fire, dining and sunrooms have electric heating. Electric blankets on all beds and cots are provided free of charge. Kitchen is fully self contained with microwave, oven/stove, fridge, cutlery, crockery, glassware. The sunroom looks out to a private cottage garden and a natural wetland is located approximately 100 metres from the cottage.

Old Farm Cottage

The Old Farm Cottage was originally constructed in the 1830s as the Overseer's cottage and the dairy. Located in the heart of the original convict farm village, this delightful three bedroom cottage has recently been fully restored and offers comfortable and cosy cottage accommodation. Modern bathrooms with underfloor heating and walk-in showers offer ease of access and the open log fire provides a traditional cottage experience. The three bedrooms include one King size bed with ensuite, one King Single bed, and one King/Twin bed. Hearty breakfast provisions are included along with complimentary port and homemade biscuits.

Pumpkin Cottage

Pumpkin Cottage is one of our delightful Farm Cottages located adjacent to the convict built Farm Village. Overlooking the English style countryside and only a short walk to the Macquarie River, renowned for its excellent trout fishing, this cottage is the perfect spot to relax. Constructed from recycled materials and featuring many traditional convict building techniques this one bedroom cottage accommodates a queen bed and single bed in the bedroom and a fold out sofa in the lounge. Pumpkin is located approximately 50m from Brickendon's World Heritage Farm Village so make the time to explore the buildings of the village and also meander along the Brickendon & Woolmers Convict Farm Walk to Woolmers Estate (50 min one way). Time is also needed to wander the Heritage Gardens of Brickendon a short walk from your cottage. Fabulous 180 year old trees provide a wonderful backdrop to the delightful gardens and Georgian homestead. Pumpkin Cottage is located alongside Pea in a Pod cottage and Sweetcorn is next door again. If you have a group travelling - these cottages are ideal as you will all be able to enjoy separate cottages alongside each other. Continental breakfast provisions included in cottage.

Sweetcorn Cottage

Sweetcorn Cottage will be a perfect home away from home. Warm and cosy with stunning views over the farm and out to the distant mountains, this cottage is ideal for two couples or a family of up to 7. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and a single while the second bedroom sleeps up to four in a double bed and bunks. Enjoy lighting the wood heater and curling up in the wonderfully comfortable couch or sip a cool drink while sitting on the verandah and watching the light fade over the land. The kids will be happy too as we feed our friendly farm animals each morning and you are welcome to join in, or you are free to wander and meet them at any time. Sweetcorn is located approximately 50m from Brickendon's World Heritage Farm Village so make the time to explore the buildings of the village. Time is also needed to wander the Heritage Gardens of Brickendon a short walk from your cottage. Fabulous 180 year old trees provide a wonderful backdrop to the delightful gardens and Georgian homestead. Continental breakfast provisions included in cottage.

Pea in a Pod Cottage

Pea is a compact cottage with one main room and an ensuite with shower and toilet. This cute little cottage offers a comfortable stay for those not needing full catering facilities. Enjoy breakfast overlooking the farm from the large paned window which allows for sweeping views down to the river. Facing East you will be bathed in sunlight for breakfast or enjoy the colours of the sunset on the distant Ben Lomond mountain range after a busy day of relaxing and touring. Pea in a Pod is located approximately 50m from Brickendon's World Heritage Farm Village so make the time to explore the buildings of the village and also meander along the Brickendon & Woolmers Convict Farm Walk to Woolmers Estate (50 min one way). Time is also needed to wander the Heritage Gardens of Brickendon a short walk from your cottage. Fabulous 180 year old trees provide a wonderful backdrop to the delightful gardens and Georgian homestead. Continental breakfast provisions are included. King size bed can be split into two singles on request.

Gardeners Cottage

The historic Gardeners Cottage was brought back to life in 1991 and offers guests a private cosy cottage featuring the original open fire, bread oven and recycled convict bricks around a deep old-fashioned bath. Enjoy the delights of the quaint cottage garden while sipping a port on the verandah - you may even be visited by some passing sheep! Perfect for couples wanting a secluded getaway. Located in Brickendon's World Heritage precinct, a short walk will take you through the original Estate orchard which still retains several 1800s plantings and then into Brickendon's Heritage Gardens renowned for its diversity of 1830s European and Exotic trees. A slightly longer stroll will get you to the Brickendon Farm Village where you can enjoy discovering the convict and farming history of this special family-owned Estate. Continental breakfast provisions are included along with complimentary port and homemade biscuits
