Hiking Freycinet
We travel through the well-preserved Georgian townships of Evandale and Campbell Town . You will have time to grab lunch and discover the Convict Brick Trail that extends through the town., The amazing view of The Hazards mountain range greet us as we enter the National Park. We begin by walking Cape Tourville Lighthouse circuit. This easy 20 minute walk has spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding coastline. Then it’s onwards to the main walk for the day, to the Wineglass Bay Lookout, a moderate uphill walk of around 60 minutes. Once at the top you are rewarded with that world famous view of Wineglass Bay and the stunning Freycinet National Park. The walk to the Lookout is one of the Great Short Walks of Tasmania and requires good mobility and adequate fitness. From the Lookout you have the option to return to the start of the walk with our tour guide, or for the keen hikers you can choose to spend the rest of your time completing the Wineglass Bay beach hike. Our final stop on the East Coast is the stunning Devil’s Corner Winery, to enjoy a wine tasting, wood fired pizza, fresh seafood and ice creams.
