3-Day Iconic Experience

Located in the picturesque North East Tasmania, a short walk from the world-famous Blue Derby Mountain Bike trails and Floating Sauna Lake Derby. Pilgrim Blue occupies an 1800s Church hall. Pilgrim Blue is a historic church hall that has been sensitively renovated into two charming, fully self-contained apartments. Each apartment has a luxurious queen bed, a modern bathroom and kitchenette and is designed to offer convenience while honouring the history and character of this 100 year old building. The new and stylish bathroom has a generous open shower and bespoke wood vanity. A small kitchen contains all modern cooking amenities as well as fridge and freezer. You can start your day with a cup of freshly ground plunger coffee or choose from our range of Australian naturopathic Mayde Teas. A secure bike shed is located onsite. Pilgrim Blue is located in the heart of Derby, a short two-min walk to the main street where bike hire, cafes, gourmet pizza and beer can be found. An easy walking distance to both the Derby Sauna and the world-famous Blue Derby mountain bike trail network, Pilgrim Blue is available for short (one night) or longer stays. It also provides a boutique stop-over for those on driving holidays. For those following the Northern Forage trail, Pilgrim Blue provides a relaxing stop between cellar doors, farm gates, distilleries and tastings.

St Paul's Cottage on the main street of Derby sleeps 4. We feature 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed and private ensuite. There is a lounge area, tv and kitchenette with a hotplate, microwave, fridge and dishes. In this historic church building, we hope you are comfortable with a gas log fire, heated bedrooms and a bike lockup. Across the road from a cafe and a short walk to the Hub, this is a good central location. Wanderlust Cottage, on the river, is located on the main street as well, but close to the Dorset Hotel for wonderful meals. Wanderlust has 3 bedrooms with 5 king single beds. 2 large bathrooms and a great deck out the back making this a perfect short-term rental. There is a kitchen (no oven) and lounge area for your comfort....plus it has reverse cycle heating. There are steps into the river for swimming or kayaking in season. There is also room for a tent or two on the property.
