Bay of Fires Eco Tours

Experience the Bay of Fires at it's finest. This two hour tour offers passengers a unique viewing perspective and the opportunity to learn about the stunning coastline. Heading out from Binalong Bay, the history and natural beauty of the area will be highlighted as we traverse our way north along the southern half of the Bay of Fires. Our return journey is an offshore experience giving you a panoramic view of the coast, just as the explorers would have encountered when they first set eyes on our white sandy shores.  At different times of year we are blessed with a variety of sea and bird life, you may be lucky enough to encounter a migrating whale, a pod of friendly dolphins, seals basking on the rocks or an albatross gliding through the air. Explore the most southern beaches of the Bay fo Fires as we make our way north to the famous Sloop Rock. From here our vessel turns south towards St Helens Island. We'll pass via Elephant Rock, St Helens Point and over Merics Reef, before arriving at the small seal colony. The island is also home to a range of birdlife; little penguins, short-tailed shearwaters, cormorants, gulls and sea eagles. This tour is run for October to May approximately twice per week and offers a great option for families; a mix of history and beauty, along with the excitement of bird and sea life.

For the culinary, Smeg oven and gas cooktop, Weber barbecue will bring any masterpiece to life, especially the locally caught fish, lobsters and oysters from Lease 65. At night watch the moon rise over the sea and drift along a billion stars while listening to the waves fold onto the rocks below. In the morning, watch the swift parrots glide past, roll out the yoga mats and watch the sun glisten on the pure bay water framed by the pearly white beach. Come daydream at The Edge. Set in beautiful Binalong Bay, this modern four bedroom house has views over the beach and down to Eddystone Point. It boasts a large open plan light-filled living area with a large kitchen that all the family can enjoy. Just a short stroll down the street you have the choice of swimming in secluded and sheltered Gulches or a little further to the world-renowned Binalong Bay Beach. Whilst you're there grab a coffee, ice cream or cocktail on the deck of Meresta overlooking the Beach and beyond.

Hilltop Hideaway has been lovingly curated for friends and family alike to come together in the beautiful Bay of Fires, and cherish, rejoice and enjoy. Comfortably sleeping up to four guests across two bedrooms, Hilltop Hideaway is the perfect space to spread out on the deck and watch the blue horizon beyond, curl up on the couch by the wood heater, and trade stories by the fire pit over a cold one. WiFi is also available. A place to relax and unwind, explore and wonder.
