Artists from all over Tasmania have been invited to respond to the theme of 'Light House'. The exhibition will be opened on the Strahan Solstice weekend and will be open to public until the 31st of July. This formal opening will be an exclusive, ticketed only event. Tickets will be limited. Attendees will be greeted at the door and offered a glass of Tasmania wine or beer, along with nibbles of local produce.

A part of the Light up the West annual event, the Strahan Solstice will come alive this winter! A celebration of the winter solstice and beyond. Featuring a free light show event "Port to Post" a stunning projected visual and auditory display on iconic buildings in the Strahan Post Office. Blending the raw beauty of the West Coast with the warmth of its people, the festival offers a bright and welcoming escape during the darkest days of winter. Piners Loft offers self-contained accommodation in Strahan on Tasmania's wild West Coast. This multi-level pole house of native and recycled timbers is spacious and welcoming. Harrison House located in Strahan on the West Coast of Tasmania is a traditional Bed and Breakfast offering boutique-style hosted accommodation. This is our new three bedroom self-contained free standing house at 9 Innes Street, right next to our Studio “King” and two-bedroom apartment “Kelly” at 11 Innes St. It has two bathrooms. The ramp to the house and the walk in shower make this easy for wheelchair access. The 9 Innes Street East property has two queen bedrooms, and the third bedroom has a bunk set suitable for two adults. The kitchen, dining and living areas are quite large. The free BBQ is on the large deck facing Macquarie Harbour. Free WiFi.
