Welcome to Derby Digs Cottage self-contained accommodation! The name “Digs” means lodgings and it is our vision to specialise in lodgings for mountain bikers and families. Derby Digs Cottage is a fully self-contained home away from home and comfortably sleeps eight guests in three rooms. The main bedroom has two single beds (or a double), and bedrooms two and three each have a double bunk and a single bed. It is our aim to make your stay with us as comfortable and memorable as possible. Derby Digs Cottage accommodation is in the heart of Derby Tasmania and just 50m from the trailhead of the Blue Derby mountain bike network.

Derby Digs Barn is set in a prime location just 50m from the trailhead and a short 300m stroll to the main street, pub, cafes and bike shop. Built in 2018, this unique self-contained property comfortably sleeps 8, with 2 bedrooms downstairs and a third in the upstairs loft. Taking inspiration from an American quaker-style barn, Derby Digs Barn is the perfect spot for your stay in beautiful Derby, Tasmania. The accommodation is light, airy and spacious with a fully-equipped kitchen, open-plan living area and wood fire that will keep you toasty warm when the temperature drops. This property has 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets, full laundry with washer and dryer and all linen and towels are provided. After a long day riding one of the world’s premier mountain bike networks, kick back in a comfy outdoor lounge and take in the spectacular view from the deck overlooking Ringarooma River and Derby Forest Reserve. There’s also a fire pit area with log seating and a large garden for the kids to play. You’ll find a wash bay for the bikes, as well as storage and a repair, shed with bike stand, tools, pump, degreaser, rags and brushes.

The aim of the Derby lodge is to offer a standard of accommodation that matches the high standard of the Blue Derby trail network and brand. We opted to build the lodge from scratch as we believed we could customize the buildings to suit families right through to the hardcore mountain bikers. Being new buildings we offer a warm comfortable environment with the creature comforts you would expect from new accommodation.
