The Wild Wood is a nature reserve of 5.7 hectares (14 acres) that runs alongside the Meander River west of the Deloraine Apex Caravan Park. The reserve is part of a low river flood plain with old-growth native olive trees, swamp peppermints, deciduous beech, mature oaks and sycamore groves. Parking at the Train Park, this walk takes one hour and encompasses the Deloraine Riverbank Walk. Dogs on leads are welcome. Photo: copyright 2024 Jade Austen All rights reserved.
