Old Orchard Farmstay offers visitors an opportunity to leave the daily hustle far away and reconnect with life’s simple pleasures in Tasmania’s beautiful Huon Valley. This self-contained cabin is located on Old Orchard Farm, a market garden following organic and regenerative practices. The cabin is perfect for a couple or solo traveller looking to slow down. The studio layout includes a well-equipped kitchen so that you can enjoy produce from the Huon Valley. On arrival, you’ll find a small basket of seasonal produce from Old Orchard Farm. Some pantry items are also supplied. Your stay also includes some provisions for breakfast. You’ll also find a coffee plunger, espresso machine and kettle to ensure your day begins well. During the daytime, gaze at the river from the window seat or read a book. At night, relax in the luxurious king-sized bed with French flax linen bedding and extra pillows. There is free WiFi in case you need to connect to the outside world but there is no TV. There is a selection of books and games. The charming town of Geeveston is a five-minute drive or 30-minute walk away, while the riverside town of Franklin is just 10 minutes away. The seaside town of Dover is less than 30 minutes by car. Hobart is 50 minutes by car.

Built in 1932, Kermandie offers boutique accommodation in the heart of the Huon Valley, Tasmania – just 50 minutes from Hobart. Recently renovated, the hotel blends old world charm with modern comforts. Cosy, character-filled ensuite bedrooms provide options for singles, couples and families. In the evening relax by the fire in our private guest lounge, before you join us for dinner. Alternatively, right next door the Kermandie Lodge offers the flexibility of queen and twin accommodation along with self-contained Family Units. Esperance a la carte restaurant serves carefully crafted meals featuring local produce. Local wines, beers and ciders are available on tap. Casual counter meals are also available from the bar. Esperance Restaurant is open 3 nights a week for dinner. The Bar is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. There are two function rooms available to book for meetings, conferences, intimate family gatherings or formal occasions such as weddings. The Kermandie Marina and scenic Huon river are located right on our doorstep. Whether you travel by car, boat, seaplane or helicopter, Kermandie is the perfect launching point for your Huon Valley experience. Centrally located to wineries, fishing, nature walks, Hartz Mountains National Park, Ida Bay Railway, Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves and Huon River cruises.

Port Huon Cottages offer self-contained accommodation at Port Huon in Southern Tasmania. All accommodation at Port Huon Cottages are designed around the spectacular views over the Huon River and the Hartz Mountains. The cottages are self-contained, private and have balconies, all with fantastic water and mountain views. We have a total of 9 cottages available and can offer guests a choice of one and two bedroom cottages – including a spa cottage. Port Huon Cottages are located in the centre of the Huon Valley on the banks of the beautiful Huon River with major attractions such as the Tahune Forest Airwalk, Hastings Caves and Thermal Pool, as well as many boutique wineries all within approximately a one-hour drive from your cottage door. It is also perfectly situated for easy access to the Hartz Mountain National Park and the World Heritage listed South West Wilderness Area.
