Crabtree River Cottages are located on the banks of the Crabtree River in the beautiful Huon Valley at Grove, just a 25-minute drive from Hobart and a seven-minute drive to the centre of Huonville. The property sits on the banks of the Crabtree River and overlooks ‘Sleeping Beauty’ mountain. We offer two private and comfortable federation-style self-contained cottages named Emily and Eliza. Both cottages have a kitchenette, very high vaulted ceilings, en-suite with two-person spa plus separate shower, romantic bedroom, large decks with barbecue and verandahs overlooking Crabtree River. The river is an active playground for platypus and trout, and the pastures beyond are home to wallabies and the odd Tasmanian devil. Relax by the wood heater in winter or watch the river roll by whilst relaxing on the deck during summer. The farm is set on two and a half acres of magnificent gardens. It is a rustic, character filled shed stay in a restored pickers hut, ideal for couples or solo travellers. Woodlands Huon Valley accommodation is authentic and affordable. The Flower Shed studio and ensuite accommodates a maximum of two guests with a two night minimum stay.
