Darlington Campground
Darlington Campground is a campground within Maria Island National Park, managed by the Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania. This is a large campground suitable for tent camping and is situated behind the dunes at Darlington with easy access to the beach. This is the perfect base for your Maria Island adventure. Remember, you'll need to transport all your camping gear across on the ferry and from the jetty to the campground, so pack smart! Trolleys are available at the jetty to make this process easier. The covered barbecue area has fireplaces to help you to keep warm in cold weather (firewood provided) and free gas barbecues. The campground is close to an amenities block with toilet facilities. All water on Maria Island is not potable and treatment is required, use purification tablets or boil for at least one minute before use. Bookings are not taken and there is sufficient space for all campers. Camping fees are payable at the Maria Island Gateway before you board the ferry. Please follow the link for further information about this campground.
