Tarkine Fresh Oysters prides itself on serving the freshest possible oysters you will ever taste. The farm is nestled on the North West Coast of Tasmania in the town of Smithton, where the oysters are grown in some of the cleanest air and water in the world. The retail outlet and café is located on the banks of the Duck River and is open from 10 am-3 pm Tuesday to Saturday for a variety of takeaway oysters and other Tasmanian products. Our seated dining is available from 11 am to 2 pm Tuesday to Saturday with the menu providing many oyster options to enjoy with Wine, Cider or Craft Beer or soft drinks. (These are our winter trading hours) Our award-winning oysters are grown just five minutes from the Shop / Cafe and shucked fresh daily. Whether you’re in the mood to enjoy natural oysters or baked, or try the creamy Seafood Chowder you will not be disappointed. There are plenty of options if you are just stopping on your way through and wish to take some ocean-fresh treats home with you. Make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to experience Tarkine Fresh Oysters for yourself.
