Risby Cove Restaurant

The Crays situated on The Esplanade in Strahan offers two studio units with queen beds and three x two-bedroom units. All of are units are equipped with cooking utensils , electric cooktops, microwaves and fridges allowing guests to self-cater. All units have their own undercover patios with tables and chairs. A communal laundry is available for guests to use as well as an undercover BBQ. Perfectly situated on The Esplanade just a 7-minute walk into town for cruise departures and directly opposite the renowned Risby Cove Restaurant.

These charming rustic cabin-style quarters offer a unique and cosy retreat, just a stone's throw away from the bustling town centre. There are three levels to each cabin. As you enter, you'll immediately feel the inviting ambiance, with the scent of timber and the warmth thick rugs beneath your feet. On the ground floor is the loungeroom; with leather chairs and ottomans and French doors hung with linen curtains. Vintage treasures adorn the walls and pots of lush green plants are dotted around the space. For those cooler Tasmanian nights, snuggle up under the soft, warm blankets provided. A wall mounted heater warms the whole cabin. Here there is also a small well equipped kitchenette to whip up simple meals or savor the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans prepared in the French press. Up the first flight of stairs you will find the bathroom with a deep relaxing bath. Ascend to the top floor, where a comfortable queen bed awaits, nestled under the steep pitched roof. The cabins are in a peaceful locality with the harbour just across the road and the Strahan township a gentle beautiful walk along the foreshore.

Built-in 1896 for Strahan’s Harbour Master, Captain Edward Miles, Franklin Manor exudes the character of a bygone era, with original stained glass windows, high ceilings and delightful timberwork. It offers boutique accommodation with large lounges and open fires, providing a timeless ambience for guests to interact with others. Each guest room has an ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee facilities and most enjoy views over the grounds. Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the private veranda and historical gardens planted more than 100 years ago.
