Located in a prime & picturesque waterfront position, seconds from the water's edge & central to the growers and makers of the Tamar Valley. The Kiosk serves local coffee, beer, wine & simple, tasty food in the Low Head Historic Precinct. Enjoy locally roasted coffee with a selection of home-baked & carefully sourced cakes, biscuits & pastries or taste a variety of local wines, beers & gin by the water with a sandwich or pastry full of local produce. Selection varies daily. Great stop with children! The atmosphere is relaxed, kids roam free & families have fun. Icecreams year round. Kids corner with outdoor games, cricket pitch on the village green, sheltered swimming beach seconds from the Kiosk. Casual beachside dining, where you can wander around the Pilot Station lawns, laze beneath the Norfolk Island pines or book a sunny table in the courtyard or cosy indoor spot within the original Coxswain's house. In a day visit, enjoy the beaches perfect for safe family swimming, visit the lighthouse, learn about shipwrecks & sailors in the MaritimeMuseum, ride the local MTB trails of MtGeorge, catch a squid or fish from the breakwater wall. It is home to the Low Head Penguin Tours, visit at sunset for a tour to see the fairy penguins returning home to the beach or stay on-site in the family beach cottages.
