Garry and Kate Pannan opened the East Coast Village Providore with the goal of providing a fresh, local, Tasmanian food experience. Their ethos is to meet your complete culinary needs with the finest quality produce that has the lowest possible food miles and specialise in product that has been made and grown locally. Prime beef and lamb are sourced from Pyengana and their delectable pork and ham have been sourced from Scottsdale. The perfect accompaniment for your meal comes in a glass – and having sampled a drop or two – they can recommend the local Priory Ridge wine, or craft beer, cider or spirit to take home and enjoy with your meal. Kate is a fabulous home cook and the aroma of scallop pies, cakes, cheesecakes and quiches as well as ready-made meals wafting through the Providore make it almost impossible to avoid being tempted. It is also easy to be seduced by their selection of jams, chocolates, sauces, soups, oils and so much more. They know where each item was sourced, who grew it and can tell you the story behind the grower's dedication to quality produce. Garry and Kate see it as their greatest privilege to share their passion for exceptional quality products with you, and that’s why there is no such thing as a quick visit to East Coast Village Providore.
