St Martin’s of Tasmania
A stunning heritage-listed stone church, as featured on ABC TV's Restorations Australia, converted into a boutique home and events space. St Martin's is just 30 mins from Hobart airport. It is nestled in the old fishing village of Dunalley, the gateway to the stunning Tasman peninsula, with the harbour visible on one side and the ocean on the other. St Martin's has been lovingly restored and adorned with period furniture and antiques. An modern architectural addition at the back of the building has been respectfully erected to complement and extend the main living area areas. It houses a modern and beautiful kitchen and bathroom within 'shoo-sugi-ban' cladding (Japanese styled charred timbers) and an open deck with inbuilt seating and firepit. Gardens envelope the property. The main bed is a murphy bed, enabling it to be flipped into the wall to create an open events space.
