Bridge Cottage comprises two self-contained, heritage listed co-joined cottages. The Armoury Cottage and The Sergeants Cottage. Stay in your own private cottage - located in the centre of Richmond village and overlooking the Historic Richmond Bridge. Comfy and cosy and yours to enjoy. Bridge Cottage was built by convicts in 1823 the same year as the construction of the Historic Richmond Bridge to accommodate the Sergeant in charge of the construction of the Richmond Bridge and the Village’s arms store. Both cottages have been fully restored. Richmond is a historic village, located 20 minutes (27 kilometres/17 miles) northeast of Hobart and 15 minutes to Hobart Airport. Cottages Features include: Sitting room with cosy wood heater, Queen bedroom, country-style kitchen, dining area and second living area, laundry and bathroom. Explore our friendly village with its fine collection of Georgian architecture including the Richmond Bridge (1823), Richmond Gaol (1825), Village Store (1836), St John’s Church (1836) and the Court House (1825) Richmond is an ideal base to tour The Coal River Valley, and explore the local cafes, wineries, craft and antique shops and the nearby surrounds of Hobart and beyond.

This newly renovated gorgeous 1830s cottage is full of charm and character, with an open plan kitchen and dining room, bathroom/ laundry with separate toilet, formal lounge, three generous sized bedrooms and beautiful sunroom. Bakers Cottage is rich in history yet has a very homely feel that is both in keeping with the time, comfortable and convenient. There are three Bedrooms - two Queen beds one bedroom with two King single beds. We can also provide a portable cot and highchair for infants on request. A large airy kitchen with all modern conveniences, including dishwasher and microwave. - TV and free WiFi. Great Backyard with outdoor dining table and BBQ. Ample off street parking is provided for multiple vehicles. We supply top quality professional laundered linen, as well as basic bathroom and kitchen amenities.

Richmond Barracks offers comfortable, quality self-contained cottage accommodation in historic Richmond, Tasmania. The colonial officers who originally lived in the barracks certainly didn't enjoy the superb comforts you will find today at these beautiful purpose built cottages. The property is a restful haven with beautiful gardens to relax in, and is ideally located close to both the iconic Richmond Bridge and village main street. Choose between Lady Esther Cottage (two storey), downstairs features a bedroom with Queen bed and en-suite bathroom, kitchen and living area, upstairs two King Single beds and separate toilet and vanity. The Retreat Cottage comprising of three rooms, a Queen bed and King Single in the bedroom, modern bathroom and kitchen/ living room. The Cellar Studio Cottage features one large room with Queen bed, kitchenette and living and an en-suite bathroom. All cottages have efficient reverse cycle heating and cooling, free Wi-Fi, flat screen televisions, cooking facilities, complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits and an off-street parking space outside each cottage.
