Surf Beach Solitude, King Island
This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, below is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering. Wild and natural Phoques Bay on King Island has miles of pristine surf beach, mostly deserted. There is great swimming (though as hazardous as any surf beach), and superb fishing at your fingertips, as well as all of King Islands attractions. The property has two sheltered dune valleys, just back from the beach, with flat camping spaces surrounded by coastal scrub. At this time, there are two camping sites on offer, one in each valley, so you have complete privacy. A castaway paradise for those after isolation, to disconnect and recharge. Peel yourself away from the beach and solitude, to discover King Islands delights, such as lunching on local crayfish and oysters, sampling the cheeses at the King Island Cheese Tasting Rooms and golfing at your choice of the island's 3 beautiful golf courses - 2 of which are considered amongst Australia's top 4 courses. King Island is a 3/4 hour flight from Melbourne, bringing you to a calmer more relaxed world. Bring your camping gear with you, or cars/campers can be sent over on the weekly cargo ship.
