This charming former coaching inn, built-in in 1860, is now a luxury bed and breakfast in the historic village of Longford, Northern Tasmania. Only fifteen minutes from Launceston airport, The Racecourse Inn is an ideal base for touring Northern Tasmania and the Tamar Valley Wine Route. The tastefully restored Inn exudes a historic ambiance, with climbing roses covering the convict-made bricks, and five spacious en-suite rooms. All guest rooms feature double glazing, with reverse-cycle air conditioning in the three upstairs rooms. The downstairs Standard Queen and Deluxe Spa rooms both feature 12-foot ceilings. Your tariff includes a fully cooked Tasmanian gourmet breakfast featuring fresh produce from our chickens, orchard, and kitchen garden. Goodland’s Stable, a heritage-listed building that now stands as unique luxury accommodation, centrally located in the classified historic village of Longford in Northern Tasmania. The Stable has a queen size bed finished with luxurious linens, perfect for a couple seeking a romantic and tranquil escape. Lovingly restored and bathed in light, it welcomes you to enjoy the open plan living area; which sits beneath oak beams with furniture and kitchen cabinetry crafted from the original convict built manger and hayrack. Under floor heating and also a wood heater for those leisurely cozy evenings. The Stable is situated in an ideal position to explore Northern Tasmania, returning home after long day trips to rest and enjoy a glass of wine, watch TV or you may prefer to read a book by the fire within the cozy atmosphere. The kitchen is generously stocked with pantry staples, home made granola, local organic muesli and sourdough, yogurt, eggs, Ashgrove milk and cheese, home made jams and jelly using fruit from the kitchen garden. Relax and unwind, enjoying the peaceful surrounds of the garden, wander through the beautifully preserved village or explore nearby towns and attractions. Bellamona is a quaint Georgian cottage with two bedrooms, ideal for a wonderful holiday. It is the perfect place for couples to stay and family friendly with room for the kids to play in the yard. 'Bellamona' features decorative, original Georgian fireplaces in both bedrooms and lounge, and electric heating/cooling in the living room. The lounge is a perfect place to watch television or read a good book after a day of exploring the many wonderful and exciting places Tasmania has to offer. Comfortable lounge chairs, flatscreen TV with Chromecast and a selection of books will help you relax and while away the hours. The bedrooms have comfortable beds fitted with cosy quilts and electric blankets for the cooler nights. All towels, pillows and linen are provided. The kitchen is self-contained and has a table and chairs, microwave, full size fridge, oven and everything needed for cooking meals. Tea, coffee, cocoa, milk and sugar are provided. The bathroom is large and has a toilet, walk in shower and vanity with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer. There is also a washing machine (powder provided), clothes airier, outside clothesline, ironing board and iron. 'Bellamona' is set amongst mature organic plum and apple trees – the plums are ready for picking in summer and the apples in autumn.
