Silver Ridge Retreat is a 180-acre property surrounded by old-growth forest at the foot of Sheffield's Mt Roland offering mountain views, approximately 30 minutes from Devonport and the Spirit of Tasmania. The cottages all have two bedrooms, with a queen bed in the main and three singles in the 2nd bedroom. There are abundant native animals, an indoor heated swimming pool and an 1870s silver mine with stalactites, cave spiders and glow-worms. Plenty of walking trails nearby, including the Mt Roland Summit Track. There are evening wildlife walks (weather dependent) to see possum, wallaby, owl and platypus and an abundance of stars. Set high up in the mountains of cradle country at an elevation of 530 metres, this beautiful 85-acre farm is peaceful and picturesque. The majestic presence of Mt Roland, Mt Van Dyke, Mt Claude and Black Bluff can be seen from various parts of the property with a stunning valley view sitting pretty at the rear of the plateau paddocks. Nestled in the heart of North West Tasmania with camping close to Cradle Mountain, the site is only a 35-minute picturesque drive from the National Park, 15 minutes from Sheffield the town of Murals and 5 minutes from Lake Barrington, perfect for swimming, rowing, water skiing, power boating and canoeing. It is also only 5 minutes from Tasmazia, with its model villages and endless mazes, with many walks and natural Tasmanian attractions close by. Campfires are permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood is also available. There are no amenities on site, so a camping toilet and water are required. Please note, that there are no dogs allowed on the property as this is a working farm.
