Ceramic Artistry in Nature

A variety of tools and clay for making ceramics are shown on the table,
A farm view of rolling productive hills, with native bush in the background
A workshop participant rolls a slab of clay with a rolling pin
A teacher is using a wire cutter to remove a slab of fresh clay from its packet
A workshop participant uses small tools to carefully add detail to their handmade ceramic vase
A farm view of rolling productive hills, partly hidden by natural vegetation
Delve into the magic of clay with this hands-on creative experience at Fulton Creek Farm, a beautiful private property in the heart of North West Tasmania. Join an intimate group for a guided class with landowner and ceramic artist Anna McNeill. Learn the basics of handbuilding with clay and create your very own ceramic platter. Upon arrival, you are invited to explore the immediate natural surrounds and forage for textural elements like seedpods, leaves and bark. You may also bring your own; perhaps you have treasured shells, antique lacework or other found objects you find inspiring. These can all be used to add your own unique marks and patterns into your masterpiece. Let your creativity flow! All materials, tools and firing of your work is provided and light refreshments are included. Perfect for beginners as well as the experienced artist. Please book early as places are limited to ensure an intimate experience.
