A Weekend at Woolmers: Schubertiade 2 | Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra

A musician in a black suit, whose back is facing the camera, sitting at a Steinway grand piano.
A Schubertiade is a festival that celebrates the music of composer Franz Schubert. Over a spring weekend in November we bring you our own Schubertiade, with TSO musicians and guests performing the best of Schubert at Woolmers Estate. You’ll hear Jonathan Békés performing the ‘Arpeggione’ sonata on cello, which has long substituted the now obsolete arpeggione, a guitar-like instrument that was in vogue in Schubert’s Vienna. If you’re a lover of chamber music, our Schubertiade weekend is an experience not to be missed.
