The Freycinet Challenge is a multi-sport event, running over two days through the stunning Freycinet Peninsula at Coles Bay, which is on the East Coast of Tasmania. If you’re a paddler, a road cyclist, a runner or a mountain biker, this is a challenge you can take on as a team or as a solo competitor in one of the most beautiful places in Australia. This year will be the 23rd edition of the Freycinet Challenge.

The Coles Bay Triathlon is held within the natural reserves of beautiful Coles Bay, on the east coast of Tasmania. Situated at the northern edge of the Freycinet National Park, the Coles Bay Triathlon is one of the most iconic destination events in Australia and is not to be missed. Join us in 2025 for Australia's most pristine Triathlon. A 1.9 km swim, 90 km ride and 21.1 km run (Half), and 750/20/5 (Sprint), with the most spectacular natural backdrop you will ever experience. Coles Bay is situated at the northern edge of the Freycinet National Park. Located 218 km northeast of Hobart and 202 km southeast of Launceston. It is justifiably one of the famous wilderness beauty spots on Tasmania’s east coast.

We showcase Tasmanian produce in a relaxed family friendly bistro, which has an indoor play center, perfect for entertaining the kids while you sit back, relax and enjoy our hospitality. Our bar and bottle shop have an extensive selection of beers, wines, ciders, and top shelf spirits. The beer garden overlooks Muirs Beach and we often host live music. We offer wedding packages, private events, and an extensive takeaway menu.
