Located in a prime and picturesque waterfront position, seconds from the water's edge and central to the growers and makers of the Tamar Valley. Grab a local wine, beer or cider fun drinks and sweets for the family. Casual beachside dining, where you can wander around the Pilot Station lawns, laze beneath the Norfolk Island pines or book a sunny table in the courtyard or cosy indoor spot within the vintage coxswain's house.
In a days visit, enjoy the local beaches perfect for safe family swimming, visit the lighthouse, learn about shipwrecks and sailors in the maritime museum, ride the local MTB trails of Mt George, catch a squid or fish from the breakwater wall. It is home to the Low head Penguin Tours, visit on sunset for a tour to see the fairy penguins returning home to the beach or stay on site in the family beach cottages, and pick up some supplies from our onsite little provedore stocked with Tasmania's best!
