This unique role combines a passion for the outdoors, animals, and freshly foraged fungus. Alongside your canine companion, you’ll wander the lush north-west Tasmanian winter landscape at the Truffledore, unearthing hidden gems beneath the forest floor. It’s the ideal opportunity for those who thrive in the crisp winter weather and the thrill of the hunt.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the commands to communicate and work seamlessly with your truffle dog.
  • Offer the dogs plenty of encouragement as they guide you to the underground hiding spots.
  • Unearth each truffle with care and precision to preserve its pristine quality.
  • Meticulously clean the truffles and assist in inspecting and grading them like a true aficionado.
  • Prepare your signature truffle-based dish to taste and sample them at their best.
