Your new Odd Job

Unleash your creativity and enchant your senses as a Soaksmith and embark on a sensory journey at Little Things Farm, where you’ll be tasked with crafting the bath salt that captures the essence of The Off Season. Spend time immersing yourself in the sights, sounds, and scents of Tasmania in winter. From earthy aromas to wood-fired smoke, every sensation can inspire your creation. Once satisfied, you'll lend your creative flair to decide the official name of your handiwork, and then own the bragging rights to your creation.

Responsibilities

  • Explore Little Things farm, meet the goats and learn the soak-making process from start to finish.
  • Soak up creative inspiration from the farm’s idyllic winter setting.
  • Follow your nose to mix and combine natural ingredients that evoke the aroma of winter.
  • Get hands-on blending salts, scents, and colours to create your ideal bath soak.

  • A curious mind that revels in new surroundings and seeks out unexpected sources of inspiration.
  • A passion for nature and a desire to share its specialness with others.
  • An artisan’s attention to detail and appreciation for craft.
  • The ability to find your flow and lose yourself in the creative process.
  • A bleating heart for goats and other furry friends on the farm.


In return

  • A unique, one-day volunteer experience where you get to spend the day creating and soaking in the rolling hills of Quamby Bluff at Little Things Farm.
  • Take a break from your regular routine and unleash your creativity in your new Odd Job.
  • The successful applicant will be compensated with flights to Tasmania, car hire, two nights’ accommodation, and a bounty of local artisanal goods for their time.
