A less frequented track on the Freycinet Peninsula
Open map

Mt Amos Walking Track

Mt Amos is one of the three granite mountains collectively known as the Hazards that dominate the Freycinet Peninsula and the nearby town of Coles Bay.

This less frequented track to the summit is steep and strenuous, but walkers are rewarded with panoramic 360 degree views including famous Wineglass Bay in all its glory.

The walk is not recommended for the elderly or young children. Walkers must be equipped with robust walking shoes or boots as the track climbs steeply over sheets of bare rock and can be slippery, especially after rain.

Caution should be exercised on this track. The walk time is 3 hr return.
