Enjoy the luxury and charm of the 1840s farmhouse which sits on a 160-acre working farm. Pull on your gumboots and explore the farm. Feed the chooks, goats, horses and sheep, pick fruit and vegetables, say hello to the cows, or pack a picnic. If you're feeling physical, grab a tennis racquet and have a hit on the tennis court, a shot of basketball or hop on a bike. At the end of the day, toast marshmallows on the fire pit, and watch the sunset. A spacious lounge to sit around the woodfire and enjoy a game from the games cupboard or a book from the extensive library. The dining room has an 8-seater extension table, or there is casual seating in the large kitchen area. A table tennis table sits beside a large open fire place – a great place to keep warm of a night! Enjoy a breakfast of toast, jams, cereal & hot drinks. Thornby Farm offers accommodation for seven people, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a separate toilet. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, bedroom 2 has a queen and a single bed, and bedroom 3 has two single beds. A porta cot is available upon request. Thornby Farm is located 30 minutes from both Launceston and Devonport. It is a base to explore the Meander Valley region.
