A unique, historically significant property established by the Walker family is situated in a valley surrounded by rolling hills. Two romantic, fully self-contained cottages are set in 12 acres of park-like gardens, situated on the Northern Tasmania Wine Route. The cottages are arts and crafts in style, each with a queen-sized bed, a window seat overlooking the gardens, a fully self-contained kitchen and an en-suite bathroom. Private, with views over the hills and garden, they are a perfect place to find relaxation amidst trees and sweeping lawns. The property has been featured recently in five magazines, and the Pear Walk was selected by Australian Traveler as one of the best romantic B and B's in Australia. The garden has avenues of trees, some planted over 100 years ago, with more recent plantings of London Plane trees, laburnums and crab apples. There is a wide range of exotic trees from around the world some, over 100 years old, together with camellias, rhododendrons and thousands of daffodils. The Pear Walk is 25 minutes from Launceston and a few minutes from Lilydale. Close by are several wineries, the Lilydale Falls, the Hollybank Treetops Adventure and mountain bike track and the Bridestowe lavender farm.
