Lēoht is a cafe & restaurant in Hobart's historic Battery Point. The seasonal menu celebrates Tasmania's premium cool climate wine, exceptional local produce and specialty coffee. Built in 1853, the interior of Lēoht's historic Georgian cottage celebrates natural light, Tasmanian timbers, local brick, woven textures and wool. A working fireplace, sunlit front terrace and rear courtyard (both dog friendly) make this a warm and inviting year round dining destination. Lēoht is less than 10 minutes walk from bustling Salamanca with free two hour street parking. Lēoht prides itself on always finding room for walk-ins and accepts bookings for groups of 4+ for breakfast or lunch. The recently opened venue plans to extend into evenings in May 2025.

This culinary delight is tucked beneath Salamanca Wharf Hotel on Hobart’s waterfront. At Farzi, the flavours are bold and vibrant. A menu that shifts with the seasons delivers the finest local ingredients served up with a Farzi feel – such as Not Your Average Avo Toast, complete with avocado, feta, pomegranate, radish, dukkah, beetroot purée and poached eggs. Drop in for an alfresco brunch with specialty coffee or spend the evening at Farzi’s. Come nightfall, share plates flow with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. The five-course Chef’s Menu is a gastronomic celebration, ranging from smoked butter chicken to delicate kingfish ceviche. With ‘Feed Me’ multi-course menus, Farzi moves from modern Australian by day to neo Indian by night.

Winding our way through the narrow streets of Battery Point, we then make our way down to the Waterfront which was the first point of settlement in Tasmania. Historic buildings abound here too but the pace is now more modern and exciting. Come through this area at any time of the year and you are surrounded by excited visitors, fishing boats and ocean going yachts. Your tour culminates back on the iconic Salamanca Place, a beautifully preserved Georgian streetscape, now home to arts, crafts, food and wine.
