Newly completed in June 2024, The Bay House is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom property for up to ten guests, located in stunning Opossum Bay, Tasmania –approximately 35 minutes’ drive from Hobart Airport or 45 minutes’ drive from Hobart itself.
Situated on a 1700-sqm block with views of kunanyi/Mount Wellington and only a short walk away from Mitchells Beach, Shelley Beach and Opossum Bay, The Bay House was designed with everyone in mind – culinary enthusiasts, families, beach goers, honeymooners, adventurers, those looking for a break, and all in-between.
At the heart of the property, an open-plan living space with integrated SONOS sound system features a generous kitchen and butler’s pantry stocked with everything you need for your stay, including basic pantry provisions.
Maximising indoor-outdoor living, the lounge spills out onto a north-facing alfresco area, complete with a Gozney pizza oven, bar fridge, built-in barbecue and plenty of seating. Out the back, you’ll find a generous deck and lounges and firepit for stargazing well into the evening.
For the big and little kids alike, there’s an in-ground trampoline and a quarter-sized basketball court, as well as two bikes and everything you need for a day at the beach or an evening of board games.
We also have an EV charger, ducted heating and cooling, indoor fireplace, Zip Tap with sparkling water, Vintec wine cabinet, and much more.
This is a beautiful coastal walk offering sweeping views of the Derwent estuary which finishes at Pot Beach and provides excellent views of the Iron Pot Lighthouse.
The Blessington Track is narrow and undulating as it follows the coastal reserve to Fort Beach 1.7km away so not suited to unsteady walkers. Continue to walk along Fort Beach to the track at the end that goes onto Cape Deliverance and the Lone Pine Memorial. Pot Beach is on the other side of the cape where there are views to Iron Pot and Bruny Island North.

Potters Hill Walking Track is located at Potters Hill reservice, the reserve is approximately 2.5ha in size, and includes an attractive, narrow track (200m) from the entrance.
It offers Labyrinth and 360-degree views across Tinderbox Hills to the west, South Arm Peninsula to the north, Bruny Island to the South and Tasman Peninsula to the east.
Hands on unique cooking class held at Taroona , which includes safety briefing, knife handling skills, organising an event, preparing and cooking a 4-course seasonal lunch in a friendly home environment.
The menu is created entirely on seasonal local organic produce including own fruit, vegetables, eggs and honey.
