The Somerset Hotel offers affordable hotel accommodation on Tasmania’s North West Coast. Somerset is a short drive west of Burnie (6 km) and a two-hour drive from Launceston (154 km). The Somerset Hotel, a member of the Goodstone group of properties, offers newly renovated hotel rooms with ensuite. All rooms include a television and clock radio, table and chairs and heating. You can enjoy a drink in one of the Hotel’s bars, or try your luck in the gaming lounge. The Somerset also has an extensive Cellarbrations Bottleshop on site. The property is located in the centre of Somerset and is close to local shops, a golf course and excellent beaches. You can swim, go surfing or try fishing at the mouth of the Cam River. From Somerset, you can drive to many North West Coast attractions including the Table Cape Tulip Farm at Wynyard. Join a wildlife tour or visit national parks including the Rocky Cape National Park near Wynyard, and Cradle Mountain National Park, in Tasmania’s World Heritage wilderness area.
