The George Town (Mini) Summer Series brings contemporary music to the Kinimathatakinta/George Town Municipality this summer. Enjoy a contrasting blend of genres, intimate settings, and Tassie’s finest musical talent. Dvrkworld — Dvrkworld combines elements of garage-rock, dream-pop, and shoegaze into melodic, reverberant soundscapes. With rich guitars and driving rhythms, they create a visceral experience that is both raw and immersive. Scott Haigh — Scott Haigh, a familiar face and formal local, shares heartfelt acoustic tunes and harmonica-driven melodies. Known for his down-to-earth charm and storytelling, Scott brings a mix of originals from his latest album, Dark Days, along with a few fan favourites for good measure.

Birds and fish in a seaside landscape feature in this colourful mural on the Weymouth Town Hall tennis shelter. The artwork is by Northern Tasmanian artist Thomas Chandler / Japhy. Thomas is a full time practising artist, named as a finalist in the 2020 Lester Prize. The mural was commissioned by the Weymouth Progress Association.

Tam O'Shanter Golf & Community Club offers visitors a beautiful links style 9 hole golf course, Green fee's for adults are currently $15. Competition days are Wednesday tee-off at 9.30 am and Saturday tee-off at 9.00 am visitors are welcome. Our caterers WE Fine Catering, are open on Friday nights from 5.30 pm and Saturdays from Noon for a light luncheon. Bookings are essential. Private functions are well catered for.
