Friendly wildlife, twinkling stars, stunning views and a spa are yours when you stay here. Fall asleep on luxurious linen. Feel the quiet stillness of the surrounding Tasmanian bush. Pause from the race of life, rest, recharge, connect with nature and rejuvenate. This beautifully crafted two-story home is built using large exposed local stringybark timbers, recycled and upcycled furniture and vintage pieces, creating a warm and welcoming space to relax and enjoy nature in its fullness. It is full of rustic charm and perfect imperfections. Just a short 30-minute drive from Hobart and 50 minutes from Hobart Airport, Orchards Nest is a great location to explore Southern Tasmania. It is the perfect gateway to exploring the Huon Valley, Far South Tasmania and the many wonderful wineries, cideries, boutique cafes and bakeries. The Huon River, World Heritage Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves and Hartz Mountain hiking trails are all within a reasonably short driving distance. The Huon Valley is rich in apple farming history and the hosts still farm the local area.

This beautifully crafted two-story home is built using large exposed local stringybark timbers, recycled and upcycled furniture and vintage pieces, creating a warm and welcoming space to relax and enjoy nature in its fullness. It is full of rustic charm and perfect imperfections. Pricing is based on double occupancy use of the bedroom. The second bedroom can be made available for single occupancy with a linen fee of $40 per stay above the first room. Please just let me know about your booking request. Guests will have access to the entire property including the private and custom-made hot tub. There is plenty of car parking space and turn-around space at the top of the driveway. The house and tub are set in the bush and the closest house is 70m away screened by gumtrees. Access to this beautiful home is via a steep 300m gravel driveway. It is accessible with a 2WD however if you have had no experience driving on gravel, you may find this driveway challenging.

This oversized master bedroom features a super comfortable queen bed with luxurious linen. Robes are provided for guests extra comfort and a super comfortable lounge daybed in the far end corner of the room can convert to a double bed to accommodate extra guests if required. Full-length mirror, blinds, windows that showcase beautiful views and a full-length glass door leads to a small balcony overlooking the property and orchards below.
