The Beachfront Bicheno Tavern offers great casual family dining featuring fresh Tasmanian produce including local seafood and steaks, a classic senior’s menu and ever-changing specials board. Dine inside or out on our Alfresco Deck with stunning views of Waub's Bay. Open for lunch and dinner with the options to pre-order or order room service if you are staying in one of our lovely room with options to suit all budgets. Relax in the Sports Bar which is open from 11.30am to late. Offering bar snacks, TAB, Keno, and separate gaming room. During the day, visit East Coast Natureworld where quolls and Tasmanian devils await. In the evening, the Bicheno Penguin Tours departing depart 300m from the hotel, returning in time for you to enjoy a delicious evening meal from the Beachfront Bistro. Drive just 40-minutes up or down the coast to the natural wonders of Douglas Apsley National Park or Freycinet National Park including Wineglass Bay. The Beachfront is also located opposite the start of many of the towns walking trails, which take you to Bicheno Blowhole, Redbill Beach, Waubs Bay, Whalers Lookout and the township. A short drive south to the many local East Coast vineyards with cellar doors. Bay of Fires and St Columba Falls are also just over an hour away. Bicheno is just over two-hours drive from both Launceston and Hobart.
