Compass Hut is home to tiny house accommodation on Tasmania's North West Coast; located 10 minutes from Devonport & Spirit of Tasmania, in the heart of the Tasting Trail and other visitor attractions such as Cradle Mountain. At Compass Hut, we have 3 unique, tiny homes: Barnhaus, Arc Pavilion and Colonial Blue. All tiny homes are self-contained with self-check-in. Each have a range of amenities (check out our website for more details). The tiny homes contain queen-bed sleeping areas, kitchenettes, living space and bathrooms (including basin, mirror and vanity area, shower and compost toilet). Outside, each tiny home sits among their own private gardens, with their own private driveways. Free WIFI and more. Each tiny home has been designed to enrich travellers Tasmanian journey and focuses on health and wellbeing, as well as connecting with nature. Also in the heart of the Tasting Trail, which offers a range of foodie experiences (chocolate, cheese, vineyards, distilleries and more). Cradle Mountain and the start of the Overland Track - 60 minutes drive, Sheffield, Tasmazia and the Lower Village of Crackpot & Mount Roland - 20 to 40 minutes drive Trowanna Wildlife Sanctuary (Tasmanian Devils) - 30 minutes drive, Turners Beach and Braddons Lookout - 10 to 15 minutes drive. A one hour drive to Launceston, and three-hour drive to Hobart.

Arc Pavilion is a designer, tiny house getaway, providing a secluded and unique accommodation experience. The project has been handcrafted and curated by us at Compass Hut, with custom made furniture, artwork and a luxurious and arty interior design. The bi-fold doors open out to incredible views across the North Coast countryside to the ocean; enjoyed from the yoga deck, garden or outdoor bathtub.

Colonial Blue

Colonial Blue is a 5.5 metre tiny house on wheels with a separate, luxurious bathhouse. Located in the countryside, with views out across the landscape towards the central north coast of Tasmania, the tiny house has been designed and styled as an artist retreat, or a space to disconnect and reconnect with ourselves. The tiny house is nestled in its own private cottage garden and shares with visitors a raised culinary herb garden bed. The experience includes an indoor bathtub, double shower and vanity, queen bed, lounge, kitchen and table and chairs. Guests have access to free WIFI, yoga mats, books, easel and sketching material among other amenities. Visitors can also enjoy the artwork on display within the room, produced by the owner's Kylie, Tamika and other local artists.

The Compass Hut is a 4.8 meter long by 2.4 meters wide Tiny House on wheels. Built-in a Scandinavian Barn Style externally, the inside the space consists of a downstairs lux sleeping area, small country kitchenette and a glossy white bathroom. It is designed as an off-grid little home-away-from-home, focusing on health & wellness, and a place that will enrich your experience while on your journey in Tasmania.
