Beulah House was restored over two years with meticulous detail, retaining all its original features from nearly 200 years ago, but filled with the necessary luxuries for modern living. When you arrive at Beulah House you will be transported to the past, as the house retains all the classical hallmarks of the Georgian vernacular – including symmetry, refinement and balance. Historically noted and architecturally significant, the house, was built by convicts in 1847 and is entered on the Tasmanian Heritage Register. The entrance drive leads you into the property, occupied by a large two storey house, featuring a deep expansive verandah, French doors, and original front door with elegant fanlights. The impressive entry hall leads you to a number of beautifully proportioned rooms; an inviting bright and large lounge room with a double bay window and a wood heater for cooler nights, and a dining room with warm and welcoming chunky table to anchor the room for casual sit downs or more formal dinner parties. There is also a beautiful bedroom, luxury bathroom, laundry, a Georgian style kitchen, breakfast room and cellar. This is just downstairs. Upstairs, the staircase leads to five other bedrooms all with unique colours and personalities, two landings for reading/games, and two large more luxury bathrooms.
