Presented by Launceston Youth Theatre Ensemble’s Riverside Middle Company, this performance features actors aged 11-15 years. This is a classic story of friendship and jealousy from beloved Australian author Robin Klein. Adapted and updated by director Mandy Gibson from the play version by Richard Tulloch, this is story that everyone can relate to. In between dealing with her embarrassing family and focusing on her on-screen destiny, life is hard for Erica Yurken, but at least she is the star of her sixth grade class. That is until the arrival of a perfect student at Barringa East. But Erica, is not about to take a back seat to anybody, not even Alison Ashley. Suitable for audiences from 9 years and above.

LYTE presents Pre-Junior Sharing Launceston Youth Theatre Ensemble proudly presents our Riverside and Queechy Pre-Junior companies in their theatrical debut. This performance features actors aged 5-8 years. An informal hour where our youngest thespians share their work on the big stage. America’s first great ghost story, Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow follows the quirky and superstitious antics of schoolmaster Ichabod Crane, who is haunted by the dreaded Headless Horseman. This imaginative adaptation by Hans and Peter Bloedel stays true to the world that Irving created in this American gothic tale, but adds a lyrical quality that further enhances the humour, the magic, and the terror. Suitable for children 10 years and up, this performance contains supernatural themes.
