This popular long-table lunch, in its third year, has become a signature event in the “Permission to Trespass” series of events around Table Cape and Wynyard in NW Tasmania during Tasmania's “Off Season”. The owners invite you to share a delicious, 6-course degustation meal with paired wines in the dining room of Table House, a unique private villa sitting majestically on Table Cape with sweeping views over beautiful farmlands to Bass Strait. Joseph Bugg, arguably the most popular chef in NW Tasmania until he changed careers a few years ago, was enticed back into the kitchen for the inaugural event at Table House in 2023. It was such a resounding success, with lively conviviality and conversation among strangers, that he’s agreed it should be an annual fixture in his calendar. Local identity and very engaging, internationally qualified sommelier, Devon Cruickshank, again will pair a fabulous selection of fine Tasmanian wines to complement Joseph’s fine food. Having worked in vineyards overseas and in Tasmania, Devon has a profound knowledge of wines and how they are made. Come and enjoy a long, lazy Sunday afternoon. Whether there be sparkling seas or wild winter storms, the views from this dining room never disappoint. But get in early. The magnificent plateau of Table Cape is by far Wynyard's most remarkable natural wonder. Sitting at 180 metres high, 'The Cape' - as locals refer to it - dominates the Wynyard coastline and offers spectacular views of Tasmania's coast and agricultural farmlands. As you drive to the top of the remains of a 12 million-year-old volcano you'll reach Table Cape lookout where, on a clear day, you can see George Town's Low Head and mountain ranges over 175 kilometres away. Take a short stroll along the cliff-top walking track to the Table Cape Lighthouse. Table Cape is also home to the Table Cape Tulip Farm where acres of patchwork fields explode with colour each spring. This is a sight that will leave you breathless, so be sure to add a trip to Wynyard and Table Cape to your itinerary this spring. No visit to Table Cape is complete without a drive along the scenic Tollymore Road towards Boat Harbour Beach, where you will discover stunning coastal vistas, boutique accommodation and the award-winning Alchymia Distillery.

Tulip Cape Tulip Farm, located on Table Cape near the town of Wynyard, grows tulips and has bulbs available for sale all year round. Each Spring we open our rainbow of tulip fields to visitors. Our onsite cafe, gift shop and gallery are open from 9 am to 4.30 pm seven days a week while the tulips are in flower. Our shop stocks local artisan products as well as designer goods and of course our range of bulbs and plants for sale.
